Griffin Technology Targets Wireless Hotspot Products with Open Market Patent

October 16, 2012

Griffin Technology Holdings filed two separate suits against Locus Telecommunications and NetZero, alleging that the Locus H20 Bolt 4G Spider and NetZero’s 4G Hotspot infringe a patent related to wireless base stations.  Griffin Technology Holdings filed one prior against Clearwire last week. RPX reviewed the patent-in-suit as part of an open market opportunity (IWICS) in February 2009.  An assignment recorded with the USPTO shows that IWICS granted a license to Griffin Technology Holdings in January 2012.  10/12, District of Delaware, 1:2012cv01320; 1:2012cv01321.
