Azure Networks and Tri-County Excelsior Foundation (TCEF) filed 13 separate suits against Acer, ASUS, ASUSTek, Dell, HP, HTC, Intel, Lenovo, LG Electronics, Pantech, Samsung, Sony, Toshiba, and Vizio, alleging that the defendants’ laptops, mobile phones, chipsets, televisions, smartphones, and tablets that incorporate Bluetooth technology in combination with WiFi infringe a patent related to a personal area network with automatic attachment and detachment.  Azure Networks has filed five prior suits since October 2008 against over 15 defendants, including Broadcom, Freescale, Marvell, Nokia, Qualcomm, Samsung, and Texas Instruments.  Samsung was dismissed from a prior Azure suit involving different patents in March of 2011. The patent asserted in these 13 newest filings originated with BBN Technologies (a Raytheon subsidiary).
