ArCzar Sues Yelp over Augmented Reality

October 7, 2012

ArCzar filed suit against Yelp, alleging that Yelp’s Monocle augmented reality feature for mobile devices infringes a patent related to a graphical user interface for computer vision systems.  ArCzar has filed one prior suit since December 2011 against Navico, and has been subject to one action for declaratory judgment brought by the same company.  According to the complaint, ArCzar is the exclusive licensee of the patent-in-suit.  RPX reviewed the patent-in-suit as an open market opportunity (Geovector – Acq) in September 2009.  10/4, Eastern District of Texas, no judge yet assigned, 2:2012cv00639.
