Sonic Industry Sues Four Banks

Sonic Industry [NPE] filed four separate suits against Amegy Bank National Association, American Bank of Texas, Compass Bank, and Texans Credit Union, alleging that the defendants’ software applications for online and remote banking from a mobile device infringe a patent related to controlling inbound information based on defined parameters set on a remote device.  Sonic Industry has filed 15 prior suits since December 2011 against Bank of America, Capital One Bank, Charles Schwab, Comerica, Corventis, Firstrade Securities, HSBC Bank USA,  OptionsHouse,  Scottrade, SerSart, TradeKing, TradeMonster, US Bancorp, and Wells Fargo.  According to USPTO records, the patent-in-suit is one of three assigned to an entity named Wilson Telemetry.  According to the complaint, Sonic Industry is the exclusive licensee of the patent-in-suit.  10/4, Eastern District of Texas, no judge yet assigned, 2:2012cv00634; 2:2012cv00635; 2:2012cv00636; 2:2012cv00637.
