New NPE Sues Verizon over Mobile Devices with Navigation

Porto Technology [NPE] filed suit against Verizon Wireless, alleging that phones sold by Verizon that include navigation software infringe two patents related to image vector-based traffic information. This is the first patent infringement suit initiated by Porto Technology. According to the complaint, Porto Technology is the exclusive licensee of the patents-in-suit. 9/20, Eastern District of Virginia, assigned to District Judge Henry E. Hudson, 3:2012cv00678.
