Intelligent Verification Systems [NPE] filed suit against Microsoft and Majesco Entertainment, alleging that Microsoft’s Xbox game console, Xbox LIVE Service, Xbox Kinect Gaming System, Microsoft Games Studio games, and Majesco’s Zumba Fitness Rush game for the Microsoft Kinect Gaming System infringes a patent related to an animated toy that utilizes artificial intelligence and facial image recognition.  David Tumey and Tianing Xu are the named inventors on the patent-in-suit, which was assigned to Intelligent Verification Systems in January 1999.  9/20, Eastern District of Virginia, assigned to District Judge Arenda L.
