Joao Bock Transaction Systems Sues Jack Henry & Associates

Joao Bock Transaction Systems [NPE] filed suit against Jack Henry & Associates, alleging that Jack Henry’s website infringes a patent related to providing financial transaction authorization.  Joao Bock Transaction Systems has filed 11 prior suits against over 40 companies, including Charles SchwabComerica BankFirst National Bank, OptionsHouse, Scottrade, Sleepy Hollow Bank, and USAmeriBank.  Joao Bock Transaction Systems has two regionally named affiliates, Joao Bock Transaction Systems of Texas and Joao Bock Transaction Systems of California. Raymond Joao and Robert Bock are the named inventors on the patent-in-suit, which was assigned to Joao Bock Transaction Systems in December 2008.  Jack Henry & Associates received a favorable judgment against Joao Bock Transactions on July 21, 2010.  Sleepy Hollow Bank and Jack Henry & Associates were the first two defendants sued by Joao Bock Transaction Systems in a complaint filed in December 2003.  9/14, District of Delaware, no judge yet assigned, 1:2012cv01138.
