Mobile Telecommunications Technologies, LLC (MTel) filed suit (1:12-cv-03222) against UPS, alleging that UPS’s package tracking services that provide information on the status of a shipment via SMS infringe a patent (5,786,748) related to providing notification of express mail delivery via wireless page messages.  MTel has filed two prior suits since May 2012 against Clearwire and RIM.  According to the complaint, MTel is the owner of a patent portfolio formerly held by Destineer and SkyTel. 9/14, Northern District of Georgia.
