Eolas Technologies [NPE] filed three separate suits against American Broadcasting Companies, ESPN Internet Ventures, Facebook, Walt Disney, and Wal-Mart Stores, alleging that the defendants’ websites infringe four patents related to embedded hypermedia in Internet applications. Two of the in-suit patents  (5,838,906 and 7,599,985) were the subject of a suit filed in 2009 against 24 defendants (6:2009-cv-00446) and were subsequently invalidated by a jury in February 2011. (Eolas is appealing the verdict.)
