Multi-Format [NPE] filed suit against  Dell, HP, Motorola Mobility, and TiVO over a patent related to processing audio and video programs on electronic devices.  Multi-Format has filed three previous suits since 2003.  Prior defendants include Best Buy, Amazon, and Apple. (Apple case was terminated in January 2011.)  Kinya (Ken) Washino is the CEO of Multi-Format and a named inventor on the patent-in-suit, which is a re-issue patent.  Multi-Format is represented by Niro Haller & Niro.  7/28, Northern District of Illinois, 1:2011cv05145.
