TQP Development [NPE], a plaintiff entity controlled by IP Navigation (IPNav), filed two separate suits against Avis Budget Group and ADT, alleging that the defendants’ websites infringe a patent related to encrypted data transmission.  TQP has filed over 80 suits since December 2008 against over 100 defendants including Adobe Systems, Dell, Google, LinkedIn, Salesforce, Skype, and Sony. More than 65 of those suits were filed in 2012 alone.  9/6, Eastern District of Texas, assigned to Judge Michael H.
