July 31, 2012 – Google announced the acquisition of social media marketing company, Wildfire. Companies including Amazon, Cisco, Gap, and Sony have reportedly used the Wildfire platform to manage their pages, apps, tweets, videos, sponsorships, ads, and promotions.
