Blue Spike [NPE] filed three separate suits against ACTV8, SMRTV, and YouWeb, alleging that the defendants’ applications, software, services, and websites related to audio fingerprinting and identification infringe four patents related to monitoring and analyzing signals.  Blue Spike has filed 29 suits in the Eastern District of Texas this month.  8/28, Eastern District of Texas, Judge Leonard Davis, 6:2012cv00580; no judge yet assigned, 6:2012cv00581; 6:2012cv00582.
