TQP Development [NPE] a plaintiff entity controlled by IP Navigation (IPNav) filed six separate suits against Dow Jones & Company, NBA Media Ventures, Net-A-Porter, Simply Hired, Turner Digital Basketball Services, Twitter, and Weather Channel, alleging that the defendants’ websites infringe a patent related to encrypted data transmission.  TQP has filed over 60 previous suits since December 2008 against over 100 defendants including Dell, Google, LinkedIn, Salesforce, Skype, and Sony.
