Oasis Research Sues Carbonite, EMC, GoDaddy.com, Iron Mountain, and Pro Softnet

Oasis Research [NPE] filed five separate suits against Carbonite, EMC, GoDaddy.com, Iron Mountain, and Pro Softnet, alleging that the defendants’ online backup/storage services infringe four patents related to online backup systems and remote storage.  Oasis has filed one prior suit against Adrive, AT&T, Carbonite, Decho, Drive Headquarters, EMC, Iomega, Iron Mountain, Jungle Disk, NetMass, Nirvanix, Officeware, Pro Softnet, Rackspace, SBC, and Softlayer and has been subject to one action for declaratory judgment brought by Oracle since April 2004.  The patents-in-suit originated with CMC Software and were assigned to Oasis by Intellectual Ventures Computing Platforce Assets in July 2010.  8/15, Eastern District of Texas, assigned to Magistrate Judge Amos L.
