BuySeasons filed an action for declaratory judgment against Lodsys [NPE], seeking declaration that its Chat and website survey products on its website do not infringe four patents related to a customer-based product design module.  According to the complaint, Lodsys sent BuySeasons claim charts purportedly demonstrating the company’s alleged infringement and encouraging them to take a license.  Since February 2011, Lodsys has filed 11 patent infringement suits, and has been subject to over 10 prior actions for declaratory judgment.  The patents-in-suit were assigned to Ferrara Ethereal and Webvention before being assigned to Lodsys in August 2010.  8/3, Eastern District of Wisconsin, no judge yet assigned, 2:2012cv00797.
