August 2, 2012 – Market research firm, IDC reports that worldwide tablet shipments in Q2 2012 are estimated at 25 million units, a 33.6% quarter-over-quarter increase.  Apple leads the tablet market with 68.2% market share, and is followed by Samsung with 9.6%, Amazon.com with 5%, ASUS with 3.4%, and Acer with 1.5%.
