Mitchell Medina’s Content Extraction and Transmission Sues San Diego County Credit Union
- August 1, 2012
Content Extraction and Transmission (CET) [NPE] filed suit against San Diego County Credit Union (SDCCU), alleging that SDCCU’s mobile deposit service infringes two patents related to an application program interface that enables users to extract and transmit data. Before being assigned to CET in October 2011, the patents-in-suit had been assigned to various entities (Millennium L.P., Eon-Net, and Glory Licensing) established by Mitchell Medina, one of the inventors. Medina has filed more than 120 lawsuits since 1996 through several patent holding entities. 7/30, Southern District of California, assigned to Judge Roger T. Benitez and referred to Magistrate Judge Ruben B. Brooks, 3:2012cv01878.
