Verizon Acquires Hughes Telematics for $612 Million

July 31, 2012- Verizon announced the completion of the acquisition of Hughes Telematics for $612 million. Hughes Telematics supplies solutions for fleet tracking, medical monitoring and vehicle infotainment systems including location monitoring, navigation, remote diagnostics, two-way communication, mobile device synchronization, and alerts. Hughes Telematics was recently dismissed as a defendant from the Semiconductor Ideas to the Market litigation through RPX’s acquisition of rights.
