New NPE Sues HP with Patent from Conexant

July 24, 2012

Agranat IP Licensing [NPE] filed suit against HP alleging that the defendant’s network accessible and configurable printers, blades, servers, storage devices, wireless access points and networking equipment infringe a patent related to serving text documents that contain both mark-up language and application source code.  This is the first patent infringement suit initiated by Agranat IP Licensing.  The patent-in-suit originated with Conexant Systems, which later assigned it to Agranat IP Licensing in March 2010.  RPX reviewed the patent as a pre-litigation opportunity in 2011.  7/20, Central District of California, assigned to Judge Josephine Staton Tucker and referred to Magistrate Judge Robert N. Block, 8:2012cv01186.
