NPE Targets Google Chrome

EMG Technology [NPE] filed suit against Google, alleging that Google’s mobile browser infringes a patent related to the conversion of HTML content to XML.  EMG has filed six prior suits since November 2008 against over 35 defendants including Apple, Barnes & Noble, Comcast, Dell, Microsoft, Priceline.com, and Time Warner.  Elliot Gottfurcht is one of the named inventors on the patent-in-suit, which was assigned to EMG in November 2008.  Gottfurcht is also a managing member of EMG.  7/10, Eastern District of Texas, assigned to Judge Leonard Davis, 6:2012cv00439.
