Internal Combustion Solutions Sues Kawasaki Motors

Internal Combustion Solutions [NPE] filed suit against Kawasaki Motors, alleging that Kawasaki’s KX FI Calibration Kit infringes a patent related to a programmable internal combustion engine controller.  Internal Combustion Solutions is a subsidiary of Acacia Research Corporation that has filed three prior suits since August 2009 against Edelbrock, Harley Davidson, and Hondata.  The patent-in-suit was assigned to Internal Combustion Technologies by the named inventors in March 2000, and according to the complaint, Internal Combustion Solutions was granted an exclusive license.  7/9, District of New Jersey, assigned to Judge Joel A. Pisano and referred to Magistrate Judge Lois H. Goodman, 3:2012cv04199.
