Salesforce Acquires Provider of Co-Browsing Software

July 9, 2012 – Business Insider reports that Salesforce acquired browser collaboration startup, Golnstant for $70 million.  Golnstant, founded in 2010, markets “cobrowsing” technology that enables multiple users to view the same website simultaneously and chat about it. The application is intended for customer support, demos, and social shopping.
