Internet Patents Corporation (IPC) [NPE] filed suit against eBags and TellApart, alleging that eBag’s use of the TellApart customer data management solution on the eBags website infringes a patent related to event logs. This is the first patent infringement suit initiated by IPC, which once operated an insurance comparison site for consumers, INSWeb.  6/29, Northern District of California, assigned to Magistrate Judge Nathaneal M.
