- June 25, 2012
Newthink [NPE] filed suit against Lenovo over a patent related to a display unit with a housing that is “substantially the width and length of a standard letter-size page.” This is the first patent infringement suit initiated by Newthink. Bryan Mills, an individual inventor, assigned the patent-in-suit to the Newthink entity in April 2010. Mills is the registered agent of Newthink. RPX reviewed the patent as an open market opportunity (Mills – Acq) in March 2010. 6/22, Central District of California, assigned to Judge George H. King and referred to Magistrate Judge Jacqueline Chooljian, 2:2012cv05443.
