Sonic Industry Sues Capital One Bank and Comerica

Sonic Industry [NPE] filed two separate suits against Capital One Bank and Comerica, alleging that the defendants’ hardware and software for “remotely setting limits on an information processing system” infringes a patent related to controlling in-bound information based on defined parameters.  Sonic Industry has filed over 10 prior suits against Bank of America, Charles Schwab, Corventis, Firstrade Securities, HSBC Bank USA, OptionsHouse, Scottrade, SerSart, TradeKing, TradeMonster, and Wells Fargo.  According to PTO records, the patent-in-suit is one of three assigned to an entity named Wilson Telemetry.  6/14, Central District of California, assigned to Judge John A. Kronstadt and referred to Magistrate Judge Jay C. Gandhi, 2:2012cv05189; 6/18, Northern District of Illinois, assigned to Honorable Blanche M. Manning, 1:2012cv04837.
