July 25, 2011- Qualcomm announced the acquisition of gesture recognition IP assets from GestureTek. GestureTek has been award 17 US patents, several of which are directed to gesture recognition. According to the GestureTek web site, the company has licensed its gesture recognition patents to several companies, including Sony and Microsoft.
