PPS Data [NPE] filed suit on January 26, 2012 against RDM Payment Systems, alleging that RDM’s Image Transaction & Management Service infringes three patents related to remotely depositing financial instruments.  On June 5, 2012, PPS Data filed a stipulation of dismissal without prejudice and re-filed suit against RDM, asserting the same patents as the prior suit.  PPS Data, a subsidiary of Zions Bancorporation, has filed 11 prior suits since November 2009.  The patents-in-suit originated with NetDeposit, a bank software provider that changed its name to PPS Data in October 2010.  6/5, District of Delaware, no judge yet assigned, 1:2012cv00712.
