Cathas Advanced Technologies [NPE] filed seven separate suits against Apple, Amazon, Expedia, Groupon, LinkedIn, LivingSocial, and Oracle, alleging that the defendants’ supplier branding marketing services, discounted ads, and web application development tools available on their websites infringe a patent that’s either related to providing supplier branding services over a communication network or electronically providing customized software to a customer.  These are the first patent infringement suits initiated by Cathas Advanced Technologies.  The patents-in-suit were assigned to Cathas Advanced Technologies by Delphi Technologies in October 2011.  5/29, District of Delaware, no judge yet assigned, 1:2012cv00668; 1:2012cv00669; 1:2012cv00670; 1:2012cv00671; 1:2012cv00672; 1:2012cv00673; 1:2012cv00674.
