Alcorn Communications Sues EZ Publishing
- May 30, 2012
Alcorn Communication [NPE] filed suit against EZ Publishing, alleging that EZ Publishing’s digitally encoded email message that is transmitted over a network and carrying a news release infringes two patents related to the structured generation and distribution of a news release. Alcorn has filed two prior suits since May 1, 2012 against Implix USA and Vocus. According to the complaint, Alcorn is the exclusive licensee of the patents-in-suit, which originated with NewsGems and were assigned to Kolomoki Mounds in June 2010. RPX reviewed the portfolio as an open market opportunity (NewsGems) in May 2009. 5/25, District of Delaware, no judge yet assigned, 1:2012cv00661.
