May 9, 2012 – Alliacense announced that Samsung has acquired a license to its CORE Flash portfolio, resolving an ITC investigation and suit filed in the district court. The portfolio reportedly includes over 40 patents and applications that protect key aspects of flash memory management and control, and ASUStek, Lenovo, Lexmark, and Philips have also licensed the portfolio. According to the press release, complaints were filed with the ITC and the district court on March 28, 2012 against Acer, Brother, Canon, Dane-Elec Memory, Dell, Falcon Northwest Computer Systems, Fujitsu, Jasco, HP, HiTi Digital, Kingston Technology, Lexar Media, Microdia, Newegg, Sabrent, Samsung, Seiko Epson, Shuttle, and Systemax.
