New NPE Sues Getty, Playboy, Vivid and Walgreens

Tejas Research [NPE] filed four separate suits against Getty Images, Playboy, Vivid Entertainment, and Walgreens, alleging that the defendants’ websites infringe a patent related to image formatting.  These are the first four patent infringement suits initiated by Tejas Research.  According to the complaint, Tejas owns the patent-in-suit, which originated with Warp 10 Technologies and was assigned to webAffairs by Portfolios.com in November 2011.  5/2, Eastern District of Texas, no judge yet assigned, 6:2012cv00299; 6:2012cv00301; 6:2012cv00296; 6:2012cv00300.
