Third Dimension Semiconductor Files Two New Lawsuits

May 1, 2012

Third Dimension Semiconductor [NPE] (TDS) filed two separate suits against Rohm Semiconductor and Alpha and Omega Semiconductor, alleging that the companies’ semiconductor devices infringe six patents related to MOSFETs with high drain-source voltage and low drain-source resistance.  TDS has filed two prior suits since April 2008 against Fairchild and Infineon.  Xingbi Chen is the named inventor on five of the patents-in-suit, which were assigned to TDS by Power MOSFET Technologies in January 2002.  Fwu-Iuan Hshieh is the named inventor on the remaining patent-in-suit, which he assigned to TDS in May 2006. 4/27, Northern District of California, Judge Howard R. Lloyd, 5:2012cv02132 and Judge Paul S. Grewal, 5:2012cv02130.
