April 24, 2012

April 23, 2012 – Gartner reports that global unified threat management (UTM) revenue reached $1.2 billion in 2011, a 19.6% increase over 2010.  Fortinet remained the top vendor in revenue in 2011, accounting for 20% of the market, followed by SonicWALL (which was acquired by Dell for $1.2 billion last month) in second place with 13%, Juniper Networks  in third with 12%, Check Point Software and Watch Guard were tied for fourth with 11% and Cisco in fifth with 9%. Sophos, SECUI, Cyberoam, and Barracuda Networks followed.
