InMotion Imagery Technology [NPE] filed two separate suits against Netflix and Roku, alleging that the defendants’ streaming video services infringe a patent related to video indexing using motion thumbnails.  InMotion has filed six prior suits since March 2010 against over 75 defendants including Fox, HP, JVC, LG, Lenovo, Panasonic, Pioneer, Sony, and Universal. InMotion has reportedly reached settlement and license agreements with over 20 companies so far.  3/21, Eastern District of Texas, 2:2012cv00150; 2:2012cv00151.
