Futurewei and Huawei filed an action for declaratory judgment against Acacia [NPE], its subsidiary SmartPhone Technologies [NPE], and Access Co. [NPE].  The complaint is currently unavailable.   On April 3, 2012, SmartPhone filed suit against filed suit against Futurewei and Huawei, alleging that the defendants’ computerized communication devices infringe the same five patents related to various mobile device technologies.  SmartPhone Technologies has filed six prior suits since March 2010 against AT&T, Apple, Dell, Exedea, HTC, Insight Enterprises, Kyocera, LG, Motorola, Nokia, Pantech, RIM, Samsung, Sanyo, Sony Ericsson, and T-Mobile.  SmartPhone is the exclusive licensee of the patents-in-suit, four of which originated with Palm.  In January 2012, Acacia announced that SmartPhone entered into a license agreement with Amazon.  4/4, Central District of California, Judge Andrew J.
