Prism Technologies Sues Wireless Carriers

Prism Technologies [NPE] filed five separate suits against AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, United States Cellular, and Verizon, alleging that the defendants’ voice and data plans infringe two patents related to using a server and database system to control access to protected computer resources. Prism Technologies has filed five prior suits since April 2005 against over 15 defendants including Adobe, McAfee, Microsoft, PayPal, RIM, and Symantec. The patents-in-suit originated with Prism Resources and were assigned to Prism Technologies in July 2004.
