Inventors Sue Adswizz with Patent Connected to Acacia

April 4, 2012

Albert Baldocchi [INV] and David Minter [INV] filed suit against Adswizz, alleging that Adswizz’s Audio Injector for Streamers infringes a patent related to replacing over-the-air advertisements with webcast-specific ads during internet radio broadcasts.  While this is the first suit filed by the inventors, a subsidiary of Acacia Research named Aldav [NPE] filed suit over the same patent in April 2009 against ten defendants including CBS Radio, Clear Channel, and Cox.  That case was dismissed pursuant to undisclosed settlement and licensing agreements.  4/2, District of Colorado, no judge yet assigned, 1:2012cv00833.
