April 3, 2012 – Acacia Research announced that its subsidiary, B.I. Systems, has entered into settlement and license agreements with Actuate, Lawson Software, and QlikTech.  In September 2011, B.I. Systems filed suit against five companies, including Actuate, IBM, Information Builders, Lawson Software, and Qlik Technologies, alleging that the defendants’ computer-based visual data evaluation systems infringe a patent related to business intelligence and performance management programs.
