April 2, 2012 - Reuters reports that defendants Acer, AT&T, Lenovo, Sony, T-Mobile, and Verizon will pay the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) $229 million to settle patent suits filed by CSIRO. CSIRO filed suit against the defendants in suits filed in September 2009 and February 2010 for alleged infringement of a single patent (5,487,069) related to wireless LANs.
