New NPE Sues Imprivata and Key Source

March 26, 2012

CeeColor Industries [NPE] filed two separate suits against Imprivata and Key Source, alleging that Imprivata’s OneSign system and Key Source’s SonarLocID and/or WaveID technologies infringe one to two patents related to using webcams, ID badge detectors, and biometric readers to sense activity in the vicinity of a computer, record data and images during computer use, and lock the computer when the user walks away.  These are the first two patent infringement suits filed by CeeColor.  Alan Kipust is the named inventor on the patents-in-suit, which he assigned to Sitka Spruce Security in September 2010.  According to the complaint, CeeColor is the exclusive licensee of the patents-in-suit.  3/19, District of Delaware, 1:2012cv00351; 3/22, District of Delaware, 1:2012cv00369.
