Compound Photonics [NPE] filed suit against Syndiant, alleging that Syndiant’s LCoS (liquid-crystal on silicon) light modulation panels infringe four patents related to fabricating microdisplays for projection devices.  Compound Photonics filed one prior suit and a concurrent ITC investigation against Sony in October 2011 and November 2011 respectively.  The patents-in-suit were assigned to Compound Photonics by Syntax-Brillian in December 2007.  3/21, Eastern District of Texas, 4:2012cv00158.
