Inventors Sue General Electric, Motorola Mobility, and Two Others

Andrew Katrinecz [INV] and David Byrd [INV] filed three separate suits against Elexa, General Electric, La-Z-Boy, and Motorola Mobility, alleging that the defendant’s phones, remote controls, and other electronic devices infringe two patents related to illuminated keyboards and keypads.  Katrinecz and Byrd have filed 12 prior suits since February 2008.  They are the named inventors on the patents-in-suit, which originated with Twenty-First Century Technology and were assigned back to Bryd and Katrinecz in August 2007.  3/14, Western District of Texas, 1:2012cv00229; 1:2012cv00231; 1:2012cv00235.
