Soverain Files 13 Suits Targeting WebSphere and ATG Customers

Soverain Software [NPE] filed thirteen separate suits against Art Technology Group, Beauty.com, Bergdorf Goodman, Best Buy, Bloomingdales, Drugstore.com, eBay, Euromarket Designs, Fossil, GHC Specialty Brands, GSI Commerce, Home Depot, IBM, J. Crew, Kohls, Macys, Madewell, Meadowbrook, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Office Depot, Office Max, Oracle, PayPal, Quill, Radio Shack, Saks, Staples, Vision Direct, Walgreen, Williams-Sonoma, and W.W. Grainger, alleging that the defendants’ e-commerce software (IBM‘s WebSphere and Oracle‘s ATG software) and a number of websites infringe two patents related to network systems for online shopping.  Soverain has filed three prior suits since January 2004 against over 20 defendants including Amazon, Newegg, and Zappos.  The patents-in-suit were assigned to Soverain by Conor Robert Patent Holdings in June 2003.  3/14, Eastern District of Texas, 6:2012cv00141; 6:2012cv00142; 6:2012cv00143; 6:2012cv00144; 6:2012cv00145; 6:2012cv00146; 6:2012cv00147; 6:2012cv00148; 6:2012cv00149; 6:2012cv00150; 6:2012cv00151; 6:2012cv00152; 6:2012cv00153.
