Powerline Innovations [NPE] filed two separate suits against over 15 defendants, alleging that the defendants’ methods for establishing a networked relationship with home electrical systems infringe a patent related to the control of networked devices that is allegedly essential to the HomePlug AV / IEEE 1901 – 2010 standards.  Powerline has filed three prior suits since August 2011 against over 25 defendants including ASUS, Belkin, Broadcom, Cisco, Logitech, Motorola Mobility, Netgear, Panasonic, Qualcomm, Sharp, and Western Digital.
