Inventor Martin Reiffin Sues Microsoft for Second Time

July 20, 2011

Martin Reiffin [INV/NPE] filed suit against Microsoft over a patent related to computer memory with preemptive multi-threading software.  This suit is related to 1998 case between Reiffin and Microsoft in which all claims of the patent-in-suit were found to be invalid and unenforceable.  Reiffin is now seeking to set aside that judgement and reinstate the patent infringement claim, alleging that the court’s determination was procured by fraud on the part of Microsoft. 7/18, Northern District of California, 3:2011cv03505.
