NPE Sues Redbox and Ticketmaster

Patent Group [NPE] filed three separate suits against James Coney Island, Redbox Automated Retail, and Ticketmaster, alleging that the defendants’ websites infringe a patent related to rotating the display of screens of information on websites for equitable exposure.  Patent Group has filed over 75 false marking suits since January 2011, but filed its first round of patent infringement suits on January 12, 2012 against ten defendants including Esurance and Hulu.  John Coombs is the named inventor on the patent-in-suit, which he assigned to Patent Group in July 2011.  3/7, Eastern District of Texas, 2:2012cv00091; 2:2012cv00092; 2:2012cv00093.
