Alberta Telecommunications Research Centre (ATRC) [NPE] filed suit against CenturyLink, alleging that CenturyLink’s mesh telecommunications networks infringe a seven patents related to network provisioning and restoration.  ATRC has filed seven prior suits since November 2005 against ten defendants including AT&T, Dell, Samsung, Sony, Texas Instruments, and Verizon.  Wayne Grover is the lead inventor on each of the patents-in-suit, which were assigned to ATRC between November 1987 and September 2002.  3/6, District of Colorado, 1:2012cv00581.
