H-W Technology [NPE] filed suit against LG, alleging that LG’s smartphones infringe a patent related to allowing users to complete transactions and receive offers from merchants.  H-W has filed two prior suits since March 2011 against over 20 defendants including Amazon, Apple, eBay, Expedia, Google, HTC, LG, Microsoft, Motorola Mobility, Nokia, RIM, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, and Verizon.  The patent-in-suit originated with Commoca and was assigned to H-W in August 2010.  3/2, Northern District of Texas, 3:2012cv00652.
