Landmark Technology [NPE] filed suit against Shoe Carnival, alleging that Shoe Carnival’s website and electronic data interchange system infringe three patents related to exchanging electronic business data with trading partners for ordering and receiving goods.  Landmark has filed 12 prior suits since September 2008 against over 50 defendants.  According to the complaint, Landmark is the exclusive licensee of the patents-in-suit, two of which received reexamination certificates confirming the validity of all claims and allowing 22 additional claims.  3/2, Eastern District of Texas, 6:2012cv00108.
